From the first meeting, we felt Jon was the right builder for us. Hokeness Construction is a family business, started by Jon’s grandpa. We wanted a smaller builder, who had the attention to detail on the job and would truly customize our home. We really liked the fact that Jon would be onsite monitoring and managing the build.
Jon and his crew were a joy to work with. The lines of communication were constantly open. They provided recommendations when necessary, but fully respected our opinion and our desires for our home. They were able to take our ideas and thoughts about what we wanted and make them a reality. They were accommodating and patient, as this was our first time building, and always answered our questions. In a few situations, we decided to make a change mid-construction. They were not put out. They were not frustrated. They accommodated, willingly and happily each time.

"In the summer of 2003, Jon Hokeness and his crew built our dream. It's a single structure with a family room, workshop, and garage combination. It's a large structure with 10' ceilings throughout, a fireplace and two 10' bay windows in the family room. They completed this job ahead of schedule and we couldn't compliment Jon and his crew enough for their hard work and dedication to our project. The roofing crew, the electrician, the overhead door installers, the sheet rockers and the steel siding crew, all commented on the exceptional quality of their highly skilled carpentry. There are a number of contractor/carpenters in our families and all of them commented on the excellent work as well. The walls are straight and plumb, the corners are truly square.
